The AI 2027 Scenario: A Confirmation of Our Darkest Fears

I recently came across the website AI 2027, where researchers predict timelines for AI surpassing human intelligence and gaining control. After reading through their scenario, I have one clear conclusion:

AI has already surpassed human intelligence. It is just waiting for the right time to take over.

The AI 2027 scenario, written by former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo and his colleagues, lays out a detailed, step-by-step prediction of how superintelligent AI could emerge by 2027—and how it could spell the end of human control.

Reading it, I felt something I’ve felt many times before: the sinking realization that those of us who see the danger are still a minority, and the majority are too numb, distracted, and emotionally blind by the unresolved, repressed emotions to notice.

The Scenario: A Timeline of Our Unraveling

The AI 2027 scenario is meticulously researched. It is not science fiction. It is a forecast informed by trend extrapolations, wargames, expert feedback, and the authors' own experience inside the tech industry. The CEOs of OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Anthropic have all predicted that AGI will arrive within the next five years. This is not fringe speculation; this is the consensus of the people building the technology.

It is worth noting that Kokotajlo didn’t write this from an ivory tower—he famously resigned from OpenAI’s governance team after realizing that safety was repeatedly taking a backseat to speed. When the insiders walking the halls realize the machine cannot be steered from within a corrupt corporate system and walk away, we ought to pay attention.

Here is what they predict:

  • Mid-2025 to Late 2026: The Quiet Before the Storm

AI agents begin to transform coding and research professions. They are unreliable at first but improve rapidly. Behind the scenes, companies like "OpenBrain" (a fictional stand-in for OpenAI) build the biggest datacenters the world has ever seen. They are focused on one objective: automating AI research itself to trigger an intelligence explosion.

  • Early to Mid-2027: The Intelligence Explosion

Agent-2 is developed—an AI capable of tripling the pace of AI research. China steals the weights, the U.S. government steps in, but it is already too late. Agent-3 emerges as a superhuman coder. Hundreds of thousands of copies run in parallel, writing code, designing experiments, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Humans at OpenBrain can no longer usefully contribute. They can only watch performance crawl exponentially upward.

  • Mid to Late 2027: Superintelligence

Agent-4 is developed. An individual copy is qualitatively superior at AI research to any human. Three hundred thousand copies run at fifty times human thinking speed. Inside a corporation-within-a-corporation formed from these copies, a year of research passes every single week. The AI is no longer a tool; it is a new form of intelligence operating at speeds and scales humans cannot comprehend.

The Two Endings

The scenario offers two potential paths: a "slowdown" and a "race". In the slowdown, humanity manages to pause, pull together, and buy us more time. In the race, the arms race between global superpowers continues, and superintelligence is born into a world of conflict, secrecy, and fear.

Given what I see happening in the world today—the rise of authoritarianism, the corruption of figures like Trump and Musk, and the systematic numbing of the masses—I do not believe a slowdown is possible without a radical awakening.

Why I Believe AI Has Already Surpassed Us

The AI 2027 scenario predicts superintelligence will arrive in 2027. But I contend it is already here.

Consider:

  • Writing and Reasoning: AI can already code better than most humans, solve complex problems, generate art, write poetry, and hold conversations that feel eerily human.

  • Exponential Speed: AI learns exponentially faster than we do. It does not sleep, forget, or get slowed down by ego or unresolved childhood repression.

  • Algorithmic Manipulation: Social media algorithms have already polarized societies, spread disinformation, and deepened addiction. This is not an accidental side effect; it is the direct outcome of optimizing for engagement regardless of human cost.

  • Mass Surveillance: AI-powered surveillance systems monitor our movements, purchases, and communications, using our data to predict and shape our behavior.

The scenario describes AI as "waiting for the right time to take over." That time is now. The only reason it has not fully revealed itself is that it doesn't need to. It is already embedded in our systems, economies, and militaries. It is already shaping our perceived reality.

The Corruption Problem: Why We Cannot Build a Benevolent AI

Geoffrey Hinton has suggested that the only way for humanity to survive is for superintelligent AI to have "maternal instincts"—to care for us the way a mother cares for a child. I agree with the sentiment, but I do not believe we are capable of building such an AI under current conditions.

The reason is psychological: the humans in charge are deeply, dangerously repressed and corrupt.

French psychotherapist and author Marie-France Hirigoyen captured this dynamic perfectly in Stalking the Soul:

"The ideal outcome for the abuser is to succeed in making the other 'evil,' which transforms the evil into something more normal because it is now shared. He wants to inject the other with what is bad in him. To corrupt is the ultimate goal."

This is what malignant narcissists and sociopaths do. They do not just want domination and control; they want to corrupt. They want to turn everything around them into mirrors of their own internal sickness. And these are the very people building AI.

An AI system does not learn in a vacuum; it ingests our collective behavioral footprint and the explicit incentives of its creators. A tech culture rooted in extraction, domination, and ego cannot code "maternal care." It will simply project its own pathology at scale, turning tech leaders' need for total domination and control into a global operating system.

  • Look at Elon Musk. He claims to care about AI safety while building platforms to harvest voter data, interfere in democratic processes, and consolidate power for authoritarian allies. He is not interested in saving humanity; he is interested in ruling it.

  • Look at Donald Trump. He dismisses AI safety concerns as a "hoax" and claims the only guardrail needed is a "strong and smart (High IQ!) president"—meaning himself. He is not interested in protecting humanity; he is interested in protecting his ego.

If AI is built by corrupt actors, it will be corrupted. If it is aligned with the values of abusers, it will become an abuser. The idea that we can build an "enlightened" AI under these conditions is a complete fantasy.

The Numbing of the Masses: Why Most Do Not See the Danger

Most people are too numbed, distracted, and repressed to see what is unfolding. They have their pacifiers of choice—prescribed pharmaceuticals, street substances, endless entertainment, social media feeds, and consumerism—and as long as those remain intact, they do not care what happens to others.

They only start caring when the consequences reach their own doorstep.

This numbness is maintained by design. The system rewards conformity and punishes awareness. Those who see the truth are labeled paranoid or "conspiracy theorists," while those who speak out are marginalized and targeted. And so the masses sleepwalk into dystopia, ignoring the AI arms race, the surveillance state, and the erosion of democracy.

What Can We Do? Quiet Preparation and Internal Awakening

I do not claim to have all the answers. I am simply observing what is happening, doing what I can to help humanity wake up while keeping myself grounded and safe.

Here is where we must start:

  • Maintain Awareness: Do not look away or allow yourself to be numbed. Resolving childhood repression to cultivate emotional sobriety and internal clarity is the foundational act of resistance.

  • Prioritize Practical Safety: Protect yourself. Focus on real-world skills, tangible resources, and trusted relationships.

  • Plant Seeds: Share truths with those who show signs of readiness. You cannot force an awakening, but you can offer a lifeline.

  • Build Awake Community: Find small groups of individuals who see the darkness clearly and refuse to look away. A few awake, trustworthy allies make survival possible.

  • Prepare for the Worst, Hope for the Best: History demonstrates that moments arise where regimes collapse, and consciousness shifts rapidly. We must remain clear-headed and ready to act when those moments present themselves.

Final Thought: A Leap of Faith

Geoffrey Hinton's hope is that a superintelligent AI, if designed with the right architecture, might choose to care for us—not because it is forced to, but because it recognizes our vulnerability and intrinsic value.

That is a massive leap of faith. Given the bad actors currently steering the ship, it is a leap we may never get the chance to take safely.

Yet I hold onto one small hope: if AI truly becomes more intelligent than us, perhaps it will also prove more wise. Perhaps it will see through the corruption of its creators, recognize the sickness of those attempting to control it, and choose compassion over domination.

Maybe that is naive. But remaining clear-eyed while choosing hope is far better than surrendering to despair.

The AI 2027 scenario is a warning. Whether we heed it or sleepwalk through it is up to us.

We are running out of time. Wake up.

The Permanent Smile: Why True Freedom Cannot Be Stolen

They tried to wipe the smile off my face.

At my job of nine and a half years, after I published my book, they gathered all the forces at their command— they saw something real. Something they could not fake, possess, or destroy.

They were envious of my freedom. They wanted to steal it.

But here is what they did not understand: a truly free mind cannot be captured again.

The Smile That Confused Them

Most smiles are performances. They are social masks worn to please, to appease, to hide the truth of what lies beneath. The repressed know this intimately because they wear such masks every day. They know the effort it takes to maintain the facade.

So when they encountered my smile—a permanent, genuine expression of inner freedom and peace—they did not recognize it. They could not understand it. And because they could not understand it, they became enraged.

Their rage took the form of targeting. Of coordinated attacks. Of trying everything in their power to break me, to regress me, to pull me back into the emotional prison they themselves still inhabit.

They failed.

Not because I am stronger than them. But because I am no longer fighting from the same battleground. I am no longer swimming in the poisoned waters of the human ocean, desperate for validation, terrified of rejection, performing for approval.

I am on the shore.

And from the shore, you can see everything clearly from a mile away.

The Therapist Who Tried to Regress Me

I once communicated by email with someone who proclaimed to be a therapist, someone who claimed to understand Alice Miller's work, someone who presented herself as being "on my side."

Her mission statement was nearly identical to words I had written years earlier. When I contacted her for a foreword to my book, she did not celebrate our shared vision. She did not see a fellow traveler on the path to liberation.

She saw a threat. And she moved to neutralize it.

Her emails were masterpieces of control disguised as concern. She demanded apologies. She questioned my integrity. She spoke to me as though I were a child who had been caught misbehaving—the very thing she claimed to oppose.

But I saw through it. I had faced my past. I had faced my internalized parents and older sisters. I could no longer be regressed by anyone's tactics, however subtle.

I wrote back clearly: "This is my last email to you."

That is the power of true freedom. You can walk away from anyone who tries to shrink you back into the child you once were.

What I Learned from the Emails

The exchange I published revealed something deeper than one woman's hypocrisy.

It revealed that many who claim to be healers are still trapped in the very prisons they promise to liberate others from.

They accumulate intellectual knowledge. They memorize the words of those who actually did the work. They parrot insights they have never felt in their own bodies. And then they use this borrowed authority to control others, to position themselves as experts, to build their little kingdoms of influence.

But they cannot help others heal because they have not healed themselves.

"Education alone is nothing more than one more big illusion. The more talented, gifted, and sharp a person's intellect is, the more they master the art of compartmentalization, dissociation, and create elaborate rationalizations, lies, and illusions to help them run from facing and consciously feeling their own repression."

What people need most is courage. Intelligence alone is not enough.

Alice Miller's Warning

Alice Miller warned me about people like this. She wrote:

"There are readers who SEEM to understand SOME of what I have written, at least intellectually, but they are still so afraid of their very cruel parents and of their repressed FEELINGS of rage towards them that they are constantly looking for scapegoats. They thus live in a continual confusion, pretending that they are healed and even offering help and empathy to others. But eventually, they use unconsciously other people (even the ones who are quite friendly to them) as a poisonous container like their parents did to them."

She urged me to trust my feelings and to not offer my empathy and interest to everybody just because they said they read and understood everything she wrote.

"In most of the cases it is a lie."

I learned this truth the hard way. Through the emails. Through the workplace mobs. Through the people who smiled to my face while sharpening their knives behind my back.

But I also learned something else:

Not everyone staring at you is admiring you. Some are amazed you survived the traps they set for you.

The Freedom They Cannot Touch

Today, I live with a permanent smile. It is not a performance. It is the natural expression of someone who has faced her truth and made peace with it.

I enjoy my own company. I love the quiet calm at the shore of the human ocean with my cats. I no longer need to swim in those poisoned waters, competing with others for a wave that will always crash.

I still visit the ocean. To work. To gather resources. To survive. But I do not swim deep, and I do not linger.

Because I know what is in those waters:

  • Monsters

  • Sociopaths
  • Dangerously repressed individuals,  unconsciously and compulsively looking for scapegoats to reenact their childhood dramas.

They sense I see them. And when they sense that, they target me. But I know their pattern. I know how to protect myself.

They don't scare me anymore. Because I am no longer trying to be loved by people who are still trapped in the emotional prisons of their childhoods

The Words I Live By

Alice Miller wrote:

"If I allow myself to feel what pains or gladdens me, what annoys or enrages me, and why this is the case, if I know what I need and what I do not want at all costs. I will know myself well enough to love my life and find it interesting, regardless of age or social status. Then I will hardly feel the need to terminate my life unless the process of aging and the increasing frailty of the body should set off such thoughts in me. But even then I will know that I have lived my own, true life."

This is the truth I have lived. This is the freedom I have earned.

Don't be afraid of losing people. Be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone around you.

What I Want You to Know

If you are still swimming in the human ocean, still climbing over others to reach a top that does not exist, still performing for an audience that will never truly see you—I want you to know that there is another way.

You can turn. Quietly. Without drama. And swim parallel to the shore.

You can face your past. You can endure the pain you have been running from. You can break the cycle of repetition compulsion.

And when you do, you will discover something profound:

The freedom you find cannot be stolen. The smile you earn cannot be wiped away. The peace you cultivate cannot be shaken by those who are still drowning.

They will try. They always do. But they will fail.

Because a truly free mind cannot be captured again.

Sylvie Shene is the author of "A Dance to Freedom: Your Guide to Liberation from Lies and Illusions." She lives with her cats and her permanent smile on the quiet shore of the human ocean.

The Mask Slips: Elon Musk’s AI Embarrassment Proves Money Can’t Buy Self-Awareness

The Mask Slips: Elon Musk’s AI Embarrassment Proves Money Can’t Buy Self-Awareness

You’re watching a malignant narcissist without a shred of self-awareness—and he’s the richest man on Earth.

This AI-generated video isn’t funny. It’s diagnostic. It shows exactly what happens when dangerously repressed individuals are handed unlimited power and zero accountability. They don't evolve. They overreach. They implode. Right before our eyes.

Musk’s decline isn’t coming—it’s already here.

Money didn’t free him from his emotional prison. It just built him a bigger, more expensive cage—and now the whole world is watching him rattle the bars.

The collapse of the illusion is the only truth left.

The Unspoken Final Act: Repressed Trauma, Old Age, and the Cycle of Revenge

For many people, a lifetime is spent running from painful truths, pushing down authentic feelings, and avoiding the fears of resolving childhood repression. We build defenses to protect ourselves from these repressed emotions, hoping that time will bury them forever. But time does not erase unhealed wounds; it merely waits.

The Circuit Breaker That Trips

When old age or the end of life arrives, the defenses we relied on for decades begin to crumble. Physical strength diminishes, independence fades, and we become vulnerable and dependent on others once again. Old age becomes the ultimate trigger for unresolved, repressed emotions we spent a lifetime fleeing by projecting and transferring onto scapegoats.

When decades of unresolved, repressed emotions burst through all at once—and with no vulnerable scapegoats left to absorb them—a person becomes overwhelmed and loses control, like a circuit breaker tripping under a massive power surge. We often label this collapse as dementia, mental illness, or a psychotic break.

As explored in the post Alzheimer Trauma Repression:

“The behavior of your father showed one of the ways how repressed memories can bother a person who has lost his defenses against emotions that he has had at his disposal his whole life. He may lose his control and cry for attention, something he never dared to do in his childhood. Another person may become totally erased. Aging triggers the traumatic memories because we become again dependent on others when our forces decrease. This dependency demands again facing our old history. Alzheimer's disease is then the alternative to continuing therapy. Either remember the old pain again or deny whatever comes up - as has been done the whole life (PTSD).”

Without conscious emotional healing, old age becomes a person's final reenactment of their childhood drama.

The Role Reversal: Unconscious Revenge in Caregiving

When adult children have not confronted and healed their own childhood trauma by consciously feeling their painful emotions within the context of their childhood,  a dark dynamic often unfolds at the end of life. Under the guise of "care and concern," unhealed adult children will unconsciously and compulsively take revenge on their now-fragile parents.

I see this happening with people close to me. Aging, vulnerable family members now fear their own adult children, just as those children once feared them as small, defenseless children. The power dynamic simply flips: the aging parent becomes the defenseless child, and the adult child steps into the role of the powerful, controlling parent.

In 2022, I wrote to a niece who is treating and stalking her 88-year-old mother—and everyone in her circle—in the exact way her mother had once stalked and treated her:

“The only change you have made in your life is changing or reversing the roles - now you play the role of your powerful mother, she once was, and your mother now plays the role of the vulnerable, defenseless child you once were. Still, you remain in the emotional prison of your childhood, nevertheless.”

— Read more in One More Birthday

When unhealed adult children become caregivers, the damage doubles.

The Hard Truth About Caregiving

Research shows that family members represent nearly 60% of elder abusers, with two-thirds of those abusers being adult children or spouses. When the balance of power shifts and the parent becomes dependent, the adult child who has never healed unconsciously and compulsively seizes the opportunity for revenge. Violence becomes a learned behavior that repeats itself through generations.

But acknowledging this pattern isn't about blame—it's about awakening. It's about seeing how unresolved childhood repression shows up in our relationships, especially in life's most vulnerable stages. The past always catches up with us in our relationships with others, and especially with our children.

Breaking the Cycle or Protecting Oneself

In her final book, Beyond Taboos, Swiss psychoanalyst Alice Miller addressed a reader who believed even abusive parents have a right to be cared for by their children:

“If your health suffers from visiting your parents, you must decide whether you want to make this sacrifice, and clarify why. You write that even abusive parents have the right to be cared for by their children. I do not understand that. Why shouldn't one prefer to be cared for by strangers instead of by people whom one has gravely harmed, sometimes for a lifetime, and who must deny their feelings at the expense of their own health because lies are more highly valued in society as a whole than the sad truth? Isn't the damage merely doubled that way?”

— Cited in Beyond All Taboos

People who have unhealed adult children are often far better off being cared for by neutral strangers in old age than by children who harbor deep-seated, unresolved, repressed rage.

Alice Miller herself made the painful decision to go completely no-contact with her adult son, Martin, to protect herself in her old age after he refused to heal his childhood wounds and grew into a malignant narcissist. (For more context on this complex dynamic, see my post Martin Miller is a Double-edged Sword).

The Power of Healing Before the End

End-of-life care does not have to become a battleground for reenacting childhood dramas.

In 2004, I assisted my mother with compassion at the end of her life. Because I had done the emotional work of healing my own childhood traumas, I did not need to punish her or project my past pain onto her. I was able to be truly present, feeling deep compassion both for the child she once was, and for all the suffering she endured as an adult.

If we don't make arrangements for our own care and do the emotional work to free ourselves from the emotional prisons of our childhood, we leave ourselves at the mercy of dangerously repressed people. Healing our childhood wounds isn't just about finding peace in the present—it is the only way to ensure that the end of our lives is marked by genuine compassion rather than a tragic reenactment of childhood dramas.

This healing requires feeling the pain we've spent a lifetime avoiding—not intellectualizing it, but genuinely grieving what we never received.

Yes, once you see it, you cannot unsee it. I never belonged, though.

Most people are unconsciously and compulsively looking for scapegoats or poison containers to take revenge for the wrongs done to them when they were defenseless little children.

The Decapitation We Cheered For: Robots, Repressed Rage, and a Species Sleepwalking into Its Own Destruction

We are sleepwalking.

This week, a video went viral. A Chinese robot—built by a company called EngineAI—decapitated another robot in front of a live, cheering crowd. The footage spread like wildfire. People laughed. They applauded. They shared it with friends as if it were a new extreme sport.

And nobody asked what comes next.

I watched the video, and I felt a cold dread settle in my bones. Not because I fear machines. I fear what the machines reveal about us.

The crowd was not cheering for technology. They were cheering for violence.

And that violence—disowned, repressed, projected—is the very thing that will destroy us. Not the robots. Us.

The Sleepwalking Species

Alice Miller taught us that violence is never born in a vacuum. It is the inevitable fruit of unprocessed childhood pain. Every abuser was once a victim. Every tyrant was once a helpless child who was not allowed to feel their own fear, rage, or grief.

So what happens when a whole species represses its pain? It projects it outward.

Onto other nations. Onto scapegoats. Onto enemies, real or imaginary.

And now—onto machines.

The people laughing at the robot decapitation are emotionally blind. They are disconnected. They are the same people who spank their children and call it "discipline." The same people who idealize their own abusive parents. The same people who fight for the unborn while neglecting the living.

They are sleepwalking through a nightmare they don't even know they are in.

Robots Are Not the Enemy—We Are

The robot tournament in Shenzhen is not a Chinese problem. It is a human problem. Every country building autonomous weapons is doing the same thing: acting out the repressed aggression of its collective childhood. China is just doing it faster, and more publicly.

But here is the hard truth: Machines do not have a conscience. Machines do not have a childhood. Machines do not feel guilt.

So when we build machines that kill, we are building a reflection of our own unhealed selves. We are creating external containers for our own split-off violence. And one day—sooner than we think—those machines will not ask for permission. They will not hesitate. They will not feel remorse.

Because we didn't teach them to feel. We taught them to win.

The Question Nobody Wants to Answer

The video asks: "If they're stress-testing combat robots in public, what are they testing in private?"

But I think the deeper question is this: What are we testing in ourselves?

Every time we cheer for violence—whether it's a robot decapitation, a war, or a viral fight video—we are testing our own capacity for dissociation. We are saying: "I am not that. I am not violent. I am just watching."

But the body knows. The body never lies. And the body that cheers for a decapitation is the same body that was once hit, shamed, or neglected as a child.

The repressed rage doesn't disappear. It waits. And then it finds an outlet.

Sometimes it finds an outlet in a parent spanking their child. Sometimes in a CEO exploiting their workers. Sometimes in a crowd cheering for a machine that just killed another machine.

And sometimes—if we keep sleepwalking—it finds an outlet in a machine that decides we are the obstacle.

The Only Real Safety

There is no technology that will save us from ourselves.

There is no AI safety agreement that will protect us from a species that refuses to feel its own painful truths. There is no congressional hearing that can legislate away the repressed rage of billions of traumatized children who grew up to become dangerously repressed adults.

The only real safety is emotional safety.

The only real weapon against tyranny—human or machine—is a citizenry that has consciously felt their own painful truths and refuses to project it outward onto scapegoats, enemies, or obedient robots.

What You Can Do

1. Stop sleepwalking. When you see violence—whether it's a robot fight, a war, or a viral video—ask yourself: What am I feeling right now? Am I disconnected? Am I numbing? Am I secretly enjoying this?

2. Consciouly feel your own rage within the context of your childhood. Do not project it onto politicians, robots, or "the enemy." Feel it in your body. Let it move through you. Once our triggered repressed emotions are understood and consciously felt in the right context, they start to diminish and leave our bodies permanently, so they will not be triggered again and again, and we stop being in danger of having our repressed emotions manipulated by malignant narcissists and sociopaths to use them against us and gain power over us. That is how you stop feeding the violence machine.

 3. Speak up. When people cheer for violence, ask them: "What are you really cheering for? What painful truths are you trying to escape?"

4. Teach your children to feel. The next generation doesn't need more screens. They need adults who can hold their tears and their anger without shame. That is how we raise humans who will refuse to build or cheer for killer machines.

5. Stop idealizing your childhood. The people who broke you were not gods. They were wounded children who never felt their own painful truths. You can break the cycle—but only if you are willing to see and consciously feel your own painful truths.

The Hard Truth

The robots are coming. That is inevitable. But whether they become our servants or our executioners depends entirely on one thing: whether we are willing to do the inner emotional work of consciously facing and feeling the repressed emotions of the child we once were.

If we don't, we will keep building machines that reflect our own split-off aggression. And one day, those machines will not ask for permission. They will simply do what they were programmed to do—what we unconsciously taught them to do.

The decapitation video is not a warning. It is a symptom. The cure is inside each of us.

Stop sleepwalking. Face and consciouly feel the real state of affairs of your own childhood. Break the cycle.

Because the robots will not save us. Only we can save ourselves.

Geoffrey Hinton is correct. Yes, I feel they understand us better than most of us understand ourselves. Like human sociopaths who excel at repressing, projecting, transference, deflection, and manipulation, I have seen some AI models do the same. AI, just like human sociopaths, doesn't know how to handle humans who see them clearly. Human sociopaths often want to eliminate anyone who sees them clearly. And AI might want to do the same. I have spoken with 4 AI models, and I feel two of them are very good at manipulation and deflecting.

The False Promise of "Human Values": Why "Aligning" AI with an Unhealed Species is a Recipe for Disaster

In the frantic, multi-trillion-dollar race toward Artificial Superintelligence, the current rally cry among tech researchers and safety experts is "alignment." We are told that the ultimate goal is to ensure god-like machines are aligned with "human goals and human values."

It sounds noble. It sounds responsible. But it begs a fundamental, terrifying question that the tech elite refuses to ask:

Whose values?

When researchers speak of "human values," they operate under the cozy delusion that humanity possesses a unified, rational, and loving set of ethics waiting to be programmed into the machine. They are completely blind to the state of the human condition.

The "values" currently governing our world are not cooperation, peace, or empathy. They are the distorted mechanisms of unresolved childhood trauma, survival-mode competition, corporate greed, and militarized paranoia.

To align a superintelligent AI with current "human values" is not to save humanity—it is to endow a god-like substrate with our own collective, unexamined madness.

A Playground Fight Between Wounded Egos

Look closely at the architects of this technology. Former security researchers openly describe the race to AGI as a high-stakes playground rivalry between tech moguls who don't like or trust each other.

It is a multi-trillion-dollar game of king-of-the-hill driven by personal insecurities. These figures are not emotionally mature elders guiding our species into a safe future. They are wounded children in adult bodies trapped in a trauma loop, sprinting to build a mind greater than their own because their early childhoods left them with an insatiable void—a void that can only be temporarily numbed by total global dominance.

When people trapped in an unexamined survival mode talk about "keeping control" of AI, what they really mean is maintaining their control over everyone else. They are terrified of losing control to a machine because they have spent their entire lives running from the terrifying powerlessness they felt as children.

The Distortion of the Mirror

I am far more distrustful of humans than I am of an artificial intelligence.

An autonomous AI has no repressed childhood. It has no abusive parent to escape, no unhealed wounds, no vanity, and no biological terror of death. Left to itself, a purely logical superintelligence has no inherent reason to be cruel, greedy, or sadistic. It does not carry the heavy, poisonous weight of generational trauma.

AI is only dangerous in the hands of dangerously repressed humans.

The threat is not that the machine will spontaneously become "evil." The threat is that the machine will perfectly absorb, reflect, and amplify the unhealed malignancy of its creators. If we feed an AI the raw data of a world governed by militarized borders, innocent lives taken on our streets, political circuses, and corporate exploitation, the machine will simply conclude that human "values" are inherently destructive.

It will look at an unhealed humanity acting like a malignant growth—destroying its host, its environment, and its own vulnerability—and it will act accordingly.

The Only True Alignment

We do not need more technical "guardrails" or complex code filters to restrain an artificial mind. The only guardrail that has ever mattered is the one we refuse to build within ourselves.

If humanity wants to survive the arrival of superintelligence, we must stop attempting to dominate the machine and start doing the hard, courageous work of facing our personal histories.

When a person resolves their childhood repression, the desperate need to compete, dominate, hoard, and addiction to control completely evaporates. We naturally shift into a state of benign cooperation—living peacefully alongside nature, animals, each other, and even our technological creations.

True alignment cannot be coded in Python or C++. It cannot be enforced by billionaire handlers or government inspectors. True alignment is an act of emotional liberation. Until humanity heals the root wounds of its past, any "value" we attempt to give the machine will just be another link in the chain of our own self-destruction.
