You Need to Know this Acronym

That's exactly what Donald Trump does. All malignant narcissists behave like this.
Since I published my book A Dance to Freedom, I have been the target of these types of people too many times.

How Narcissists Use DARVO to Escape Accountability

DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse, Victim, and Offender) is a tactical maneuver manipulators use to groom individuals, and, indeed, entire social groups. It involves controlling people’s perception of events through a specific sequence of actions. Those who experience the DARVO process often feel disoriented as the perpetrator of abuse actively revises the facts and distorts the truth. By crafting a fictional narrative that bears no resemblance to reality, they sow seeds of doubt. Bystanders, regrettably, accept the manipulator’s lies as truth. Meanwhile, the recipient of the abuse becomes a scapegoat and a target of vilification.

What is DARVO?

DARVO is an acronym for Deny, Attack, Reverse, Victim, and Offender. It is a defense mechanism used by manipulators when they are confronted for their actions to evade accountability. DARVO is a fusion of gaslighting and blame-shifting. The term was first presented in a 1997 article by Jennifer J. Freyd, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at the University of Oregon and founder of the Center for Institutional Courage.

Authoritarianism and the Suppression of Information and Dissent

The words below are so true. That is what I witnessed while I was a guest in a group/cult. The person that invited me was very nice at first, but the moment I started sharing my concerns about the top leaders, it was like they were gods, and pointing out any of their wrongs, was a no, no and he would get really annoyed with me for doing it and even mean. Unconsciously he rather has health problems and protect the leaders than see them as they really are, very sad.

You can read more about this cult in the links below:

Also, this has been my experience in the workplace, especially, since I published my book A Dance to Freedom: Your Guide to Liberation from Lies and Illusions. With my book they learn, I can see through their BS and I become their target they must destroy, so they can go on with their lies, illusions, and mind games as usual. But coming after me they end up exposing themselves and eventually they are the ones to self-destruct. Just like my boss at my job of nine and a half years did in 2016. He treated me like a criminal but he was the one to turn out to be the criminal. But now is a big cover-up. If it was me, the little woman to commit a crime my name and face would have been splashed all over the news stations! And then all probably go on TV talking about how disturbed the little woman was -- to discredit me and my book --and make a name for themselves by standing on my head.

The words above describe exactly my boss for the last almost 4 years.

Unfortunately, this is a type of personality disorder, and there is little you can do when working for or with this type of person. If you are working for this person long term, you need to leave the organization or company as soon as possible. Their negativity will be extremely stressful and ultimately do damage to your career.

Do not think you can talk to the person and ask them to consider changing. They do not allow anyone to challenge them, and they despise admitting mistakes. In fact, if you are questioning their decisions or behavior, they have already put a plan in motion to whisper about your own competency or value to the company or organization."

Tactics Narcissists Use to Groom You

People with narcissistic disorder are actually using mind control and brainwashing techniques to control those around them into giving them what they want. They will use lies, bits of disconnected truths, physical force, sex, emotional manipulation, mental torture, sexual abuse and combinations of these things to keep their victims in line. This goes way beyond wanting the occasional compliment. It really is pathological! The better ones can go undetected for years, for example, abusing the family at home, but seeming to be very friendly and helpful outside. Or they can wreak havoc in the workplace, climbing the corporate ladder very rapidly while destroying the careers and reputations of the competition.

Machiavellians generally share the following behaviors and traits:

1. Manipulation

Machiavellians lie, cheat, and flatter to get their way. They are long-term planners and calculated strategists, able to read people and to use their fears or weaknesses against them. They will bend rules, trick people, and fake sympathy to gain favors, McIntosh says. They can be charming at first but later resort to more aggressive tactics like bullying. Overall, they lack morals and are more than willing to cause harm to get what they want. (Here is how to recognize manipulation, for what it's worth.)

2. Self-interest

Ever the cynic, Machiavellians believe that everyone is acting in their own self-interest, so they do not form close relationships and do not trust easily. Money and power mean more to them than relationships with people. They can be incredibly disloyal, as their determination can lead them to ignore social pacts or bonds of trust. This trait also distinguishes them from the other two Dark Triad types (narcissists and psychopaths), as they do not necessarily have to be the center of attention. (yes, money, control, and power that all they care about)

3. Deceit

Machiavellians understand that having information is useful. They often do not share information with others unless it is in their favor to do so. They may manipulate otherwise innocuous information and can be very crafty about taking information out of context.

https://sylvieshene.blogspot.com/2017/10/the-games-people-play.html

4. Unemotional

Machiavellians lack empathy and compassion. Generally, they are neither able to identify their own emotions nor recognize those of others, which is part of what enables them to be so willing to do truly anything they deem necessary to achieve their goals, even at other people's expense. Despite their strength in manipulating others, past research suggests Machiavellians actually tend to be less emotionally intelligent.

5. Ambition

Machiavellians are highly ambitious, and they'll use control and manipulation to achieve those ambitions. A 2016 study evaluating Machiavellianism among supervisors found these personality types make abusive and aloof managers, with the abuse becoming most prevalent when in a perceived position of power in the workplace. The researchers consider that power may be an amplifier that draws out the Machiavellian's preexisting behavioral predispositions, emotions, and beliefs.

6. Competition

Machiavellians are highly competitive, so they view everyone as adversaries. They are willing to take a back seat or be a team player at times when doing so is to their advantage. Machiavellians are sensitive to the power dynamics in social contexts and can switch between cooperative and competitive tactics.

Pay very close attention to what the narcissist barks at you about. Specifically what he/she accuses you of. It's usually the closest thing to a confession you'll get.

Very true that's why I keep getting targeted  by this type of boss. No Job or relationship is Worth Health Destruction.

Sometimes people try to destroy you, precisely because they recognize your power - not because they don't see it, but because they see it and they don't want it to exist.

Does the narcissist's description of YOU actually make a good description of the narcissist Welcome to the wonderful world of PROJECTION.

The techniques of brainwashing are simple: isolate the victim, expose them to inconsistent messages, mix with sleep deprivation, add some form of abuse, get the person to doubt what they know and feel, keep them on their toes, wear them down, and stir well.

Someone who hates you normally hates you for one of three reasons. They either see you as a threat. They hate themselves. Or they want to be you.

The enemy wouldn't be attacking you if something very valuable wasn't inside of You. Thieves don't break into empty houses. YOU got a purpose!

ARGUING WITH A NARCISSIST IS LIKE PLAYING CHESS WITH A PIGEON NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE....THE PIGEON IS GOING TO SHIT ON THE BOARD AND STRUT AROUND AND ACT LIKE IT WON ANYWAY!

Narcissists will Punish you Anyway they can

Narcissists don't discard you for someone better. They discard you for someone who can't see through their lies. E.S.

Narcissists have the illusion that if they get rid of the person that can see through them, then, their problems will be solved but actually will keep getting much worse as they get older. Narcissists punishment is to live and die in an emotional prison.

They will do anything to look like the perfect person...
...and destroy anyone who threatens to expose their deceit.

The Narcissist leaves no fingerprints just a ghostly image of their abuse
A professional criminal never does!

Narcissists never want to talk about what they did. However, they'll happily exaggerate how you reacted.

This hit me like a brick:
My therapist told me: "Manipulation is when. they blame you for your reaction to their toxic behaviour but never discuss their disrespect."

The narc's addiction
Nothing is more terrifying for the narcissist than glimpsing the truth of who they really are. It is at the core of their pathology. People are tools to the narcissist that serve a distinct purpose. Specifically, to feed their beliefs about the fantasy land they have created where they rein as superior, omnipotent and perfect beings. This need is such that they are effectively addicted to securing evidence that supports these beliefs, hence the term 'supply'. Their addiction is the dependence on external reinforcement that their false self-beliefs are based in fact, in order to keep the knowledge of their true selves at bay.

The people that have enabled the narcissist are just as toxic as them.

The abuse doesn't end with you just leaving the narcissist. Often it marks the beginning of a whole new hell of abuse. Please hang in there.

YOU DO NOT NEED VALIDATION AND AN APOLOGY FROM A NARCISSIST.
The devaluing you went through is closure. The lies are the closure. The lack of respect is closure. How they treated you is enough and the closure you need.

The ideal outcome for the abuser is to succeed in making the other “evil,” which transforms the evil into something more normal because it is now shared
. He wants to inject the other with what is bad in him. To corrupt is the ultimate goal.
https://sylvieshene.blogspot.com/2024/06/to-corrupt-is-ultimate-goal.html?m=1

THE TOXIC MONSTER YOU SAW IN THE END IS WHO THEY TRULY ARE. NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF AGAIN WHEN THEY PLAY NICE.
Narcissists cheat on their partners because they believe cheating is a justified solution to their unhappiness, which they blame their partners for.
Narcissists are super critical and accusatory of others, just to remind themselves they are superior, but they fume with anger and despise it when someone is critical of them in return, or points out any truth about them.
THE NARCISSIST CALLS YOU CRAZY, INSECURE, JEALOUS AND SENSITIVE. TO KEEP YOU FROM THE REALITY OF.
I LIED TO YOU, I CHEATED ON YOU, I DISRESPECTED YOU, I DISCARD YOU, I TWISTED EVERY ARGUMENT, I MADE YOU DOUBT YOURSELF, I ISOLATED YOU, I STOLE FROM YOU.
Narcissists claim their exes are crazy, as it's easier than admitting they cheated on them repeatedly, lied to them daily, gaslit them constantly, bankrupted them financially, took away all their friends and family, controlled them coercively, hurt them emotionally, and then leave them once they'd drained them completely.
A NARCISSIST IS A CON ARTIST, THEY SELL YOU A DREAM AND DELIVER A LIVING NIGHTMARE.
Emotional Abuse in the Workplace

"Physical violence can be testified to be outside evidence: eyewitness, police, and medical reports. With emotional abuse, there is no proof. It's a clean violence. Nobody sees anything.
Violence and abuse originate in companies when envy of power and perversity collide. The overpoweringly destructive examples of emotional abuse in couples are less likely to be found but, unfortunately, the small abuse of daily living that does exist in businesses are largely trivialized or ignored.

In companies, universities, and institutions, harassing or abusive procedures are more stereotypical than in the private arena.

They are no less destructive, although the victims are less exposed because they often leave (illness or resignation) in order to survive.
WHAT IS ABUSE?
By emotional abuse in the workplace, we mean any abusive conduct---whether by words, looks, gestures, or in writing---that infringes upon the personality, the dignity, or the physical or psychical integrity of a person; also, behavior that endangers the employment of said person or degrades the climate of the workplace.

… Businesses, as well as the media, have tended to focus on sexual harassment, which is only one aspect of harassment in the larger sense. This psychological war in the workplace consists of two elements:
. Abuse of power: often quickly revealed and not accepted by the employees

. Emotional manipulation: more insidious and more destructive from the beginning

Emotional abuse and harassment start harmless enough and spread insidiously. Initially, the people involved are reluctant to take offense and gloss over quarrels and bullying. Later, the attacks multiply and the victim is regularly besieged; he is made to feel inferior and submitted to hostile and degrading maneuvers over a long period.
Obviously, one does not drop dead on the spot as a result of these aggressions, but one does lose a part of oneself. One gets home every night worn out, humiliated, and damaged. It’s difficult to recover.

WHO IS TARGETED
Contrary to what their aggressors have others believe, victims are not, at the outset, particularly weak or mentally unhealthy individuals. Quite the opposite: harassment is often set in motion when a victim refuses to give in to a boss’s authoritarian procedures. She is targeted because of her capacity to resist authority, even under pressure. …

…The victim is stigmatized once the process of harassment gets going. They say she’s impossible to work with, has a terrible disposition, or even that she’s crazy.  They attribute to her character the consequences of the conflict, forgetting what she was before or what she is now in another context. Pushed to the limit, she often becomes what the employer wants her to become.
ISOLATION
Once the decision has been made to psychologically destroy an employee, in order to forestall any possible defense, the person must be isolated by breaking up potential alliances. It’s much more difficult to rebel if you’re alone, especially if you’ve been made to believe that everyone is against you.

...The goal of the abusive individual is to gain or maintain power by whatever means possible or else to mask his own incompetence.

In order to accomplish this, he must get rid of anyone who impedes his progress or sees through him.

Stalking the Soul by Marie-France Hirigoyen from the chapter about Emotional Abuse in the workplace.

No Job is Worth Health Destruction.

Sylvie,

I understand this has been building for some time and it finally hit a point where you could not tolerate it any longer.

At first i was surprised it hit that point late in the evening, yet once more reflection it made sense.

You showed your commitment to E X by the very long time you dealt with the stress. As I have told you before the community all loves you.

Thank you for showing T how to enter the RFID tags into MyQ. I have requested credentials for T From C G.

Yes, I agree one's mental health is the most important thing. You must do what is necessary to take care of and protect yourself. It was at a point where you could not tolerate any more. I understand this.

EX
FX, Az. Xxxxx

Thank you for understanding

It means a lot to me.

I will be at EX Tuesday around 9am to show T how to program RFID tags.

RM and his cronies at AXX are very toxic and dangerous people going around acting as if personality pretending to be good people but are wolves in sheep's clothing and unfortunately it's not the first time I have been the target of malignant narcissists or assholes like Mr. RM in the workplace.

These type of people don't like honest, authentic and transparent people like me. Once they discover that I'm true and authentic and I'm not like them and once they know that you know of who they really are _-- you become a target they must have to destroy.

In dysfunctional, toxic and narcissistic groups, friendly empaths are outcasted and scapegoated while predators and bullies are popular and glorified.

The words written in this article below couldn't be more true:

"6 Signs You're Dealing With A Machiavellian & What To Do

I'm so sorry I was not able to give much notice of my departure but I was at the end of my rope with RM and his cronies at AXX I couldn't take thier emotional harassment one more day.

They didn't have relieve for me on Saturday and they wanted to force me to work a 12 hour shift when I have been telling them for over a year that I'm burned out and i can't work overtime anymore.

I guess they don't care about their employees health and well being.

But isn't interesting how all of the sudden they didn't have trouble finding coverage?!

I hope you understand my mental health is more important.

Thank you for your support.

To corrupt is the ultimate goal

"Those children who are beaten will, in turn, give beatings; those who are intimidated will be intimidating; those who are humiliated will impose humiliation; and those whose souls are murdered will murder.

...Children who are lectured to, learn how to lecture; if they are admonished, they learn how to admonish; if scolded, they learn how to scold; if ridiculed, they learn how to ridicule; if humiliated, they learn how to humiliate; if their psyche is killed, they will learn how to kill--the only question is who will be killed: oneself, others, or both." -- Alice Miller, above excerpt from Pedagogy Fills the Needs of Parents, Not of Children.

From the book For Your Own Good: Hidden Cruelty in Child-Rearing and the Roots of Violence by Alice Miller

https://sylvieshene.blogspot.com/2011/01/pedagogy-fills-needs-of-parents-not-of.html?m=1

"Morality and performance of duty are artificial measures that become necessary when something essential is lacking.

The more successfully a person was denied access to his or her feelings in childhood, the larger the arsenal of intellectual weapons and the supply of moral prostheses has to be, because morality and a sense of duty are not sources of strength or fruitful soil for genuine affection.

Blood does not flow in artificial limbs; they are for sale and can serve many masters.

What was considered good yesterday can---depending on the decree of government or party---be considered evil and corrupt today, and vice versa. But those who have spontaneous feelings can only be themselves.

They have no other choice if they want to remain true to themselves. Rejection, ostracism, loss of love, and name-calling will not fail to affect them; they will suffer as a result and will dread them, but once they have found their authentic self they will not want to lose it. And when they sense that something is being demanded of them to which their whole being says no, they cannot do it. They simply cannot."

https://sylvieshene.blogspot.com/2011/06/where-there-is-no-love-there-must-be.html

"The Victim is Cornered

During the ascendancy of control phase, the emotional abuser essentially acted to inhibit his victim’s powers of reasoning and critical judgment. In the next phase, through a strategic series of commands, he provokes feelings, acts, and reactions.

If the opponent can “outdo” his rival in abusive defense strategies, the battle can only end in the surrender of the less perverse of the two.

The abuser tries to make the victim act against him so he can denounce her as “evil.” What’s crucial is that she seems responsible for what happened. He uses a weakness---a depressive, hysterical, or temperamental tendency--- over-exaggerates this trait, and then leads the victim on to discredit herself. Pushing the other into making mistakes allows the abuser to criticize and tear her down, but even more, reinforces her poor self-image and guilt.

When the victim loses control, the abuser simply injects a small dose of provocation and contempt to obtain a reaction and later reproaches her for it. If, for example, the reaction is anger, he makes sure that everyone sees it. On occasion, an outsider might even feel compelled to call the police. One even sees cases of abusers egging their victims on: “poor thing, you can’t expect anything from life; I don’t know why you haven’t jumped out the window!” It’s easy after that for the abuser to make the victim a mental case.

The victim needs to act, but because she is blocked by the hold over her, she can only find her freedom in an extreme gesture. To an outsider, any impulsive action, especially a violent one, is considered pathological. The person's reaction to provocation seems responsible for the crises. Guilt in the eyes of the abuser; she appears like the aggressor to outsiders, who don’t understand that she can no longer live trapped in a horrible situation. Whatever she does, she can’t set herself free: if she reacts, she is responsible for starting the conflict, and if she doesn’t react, the deadly stalking of her soul continues.

While the victim dwells on her guilt, the abuser benefits from the situation, making sure to cast himself as the victim.

Justification becomes impossible when nothing is said and no reproach is made. Desperate to find a solution to this horrifying impasse, the victim may be tempted in turn to use innuendo and manipulation. The relationship then becomes ambiguous: who is the abuser and who is the victim?

As he drives his victim to destruction, the abuser gets that much more pleasure from pointing out her weakness or unleashing her violence. He makes her feel debased and unworthy. Depending on her reaction, she is described as temperamental and neurotic, alcoholic, or suicidal. The victim feels defenseless and tries to justify herself as if she were, in fact, guilty. The abuser’s pleasure doubles: he bamboozles or humiliates his victim and subsequently rubs her nose in her humiliation.

The ideal outcome for the abuser is to succeed in making the other “evil,” which transforms the evil into something more normal because it is now shared. He wants to inject the other with what is bad in him. To corrupt is the ultimate goal.

His greatest satisfaction lies in driving his target to destructive acts or, in a larger framework, leading several individuals to finish each other off.

All abusers, sexual or emotional, try to drag others into their orbit and distort the rules. Their destructive capability depends on the propaganda they disseminate among victims’ families, friends, and associates, showing to what extent the victims are “evil” and that it is, therefore, normal to blame them. Sometimes they succeed and seduce allies by ridiculing and scorning moral values. Not leading others into a circle of violence means failure for abusers and, therefore, becomes the only way to stop the spread of the abusive process."

The Manufactured Morality of Billionaire AI: Why Elon's “Grok Study” Is Propaganda, Not Ethics

The Manufactured Morality of Billionaire AI: Why Elon's “Grok Study” Is Propaganda, Not Ethics

The New Illusion: “My AI Is the Only One That Values All Lives Equally”

Elon Musk is once again performing for the emotionally blind crowd on X — this time claiming that a mysterious “study” proves Grok is the only AI that weighs all human lives equally.

Convenient, isn’t it?

A study nobody can see,
conducted by researchers nobody can name,
funded by sources nobody can trace…

…and the conclusion just happens to glorify Elon’s own AI while discrediting all others.

This isn’t ethics.
This isn’t science.
This is public relations dressed up as moral superiority.

And too many people are falling for it.

**Who Benefits From This “Study”?

The Oldest Question in Propaganda**

Whenever the powerful wave a study in our faces, the first questions any emotionally awake person asks are:

Who funded it?
Who designed it?
Who benefits from the results?

Because real science does not begin with a conclusion, then search for data that confirms it.

But propaganda does.

And this is classic PR psychology:

  • Create a problem (“other AIs are biased and dangerous”)

  • Paint yourself as the savior (“Grok is the only equal-life-weighing AI”)

  • Boost your brand as the world’s moral authority

  • Use the illusion of ethics to consolidate control

This is not new.
It is exactly what abusive parents do:

“I am the only one who loves you.
I am the only one you can trust.
Everyone else is dangerous.”

Elon is not innovating here.
He is reenacting.

Bias in AI Is Not an Algorithmic Issue — It’s a Human Issue

Elon says:

“Grok weighs human lives equally.”

Beautiful words.

But meaningless if the humans building, funding, and deploying AI do not weigh human lives equally.

Bias doesn't start in the model.

Bias starts in:

  • the childhood wounds of the engineers

  • the emotional repression of the CEOs

  • the political agendas of the corporations

  • the blind spots of the powerful

  • the hatred and fear they refuse to feel

  • the illusions they force the world to swallow

Alice Miller said it with devastating accuracy:

“The body remembers the cruelty of childhood long after the mind forgets.”

And the body expresses that cruelty through:

  • policies

  • technologies

  • laws

  • “studies”

  • companies

  • AI models

No machine can hide what the creator has not healed.

Elon’s “Equal Lives” Messaging Is Not About Ethics — It’s About Branding

Grok doesn’t need to be better.
It just needs to appear morally superior.

This is how authoritarian personalities sell themselves:

  • I am the only truthful one.

  • I am the only ethical one.

  • Only I can protect you.

  • Everyone else is corrupt.

When someone claims their creation is the only unbiased, only moral, only fair system — it’s not moral purity.

It’s narcissistic grandiosity masquerading as integrity.

And people fall for it because they want to believe in a savior — just like children idealize their parents to survive.

Why This Is Dangerous: The Emotional Blindness of the Masses

The emotionally blind applaud Elon as the new “guardian of equality” because it makes them feel safe.

People don’t want to question the powerful.
They want to follow them.

They want to be told:

  • who is good

  • who is bad

  • what to trust

  • what to fear

  • who will save them

This is why propaganda works.

It gives the illusion of clarity to those terrified of looking inward.

**What Truly Weighs Human Lives Equally?

Emotional Freedom — Not AI**

If the world truly wants an AI that values all human lives equally, it must start with humans who value all human lives equally.

And humans cannot do that while carrying:

AI is not the problem.
Humans are.

Until humanity confronts its emotional repression, all technology will reflect the sickness we refuse to face.

As I wrote earlier this week:

Bias in AI begins with the emotional repression of the humans who train it.”

And Elon, with all his intellect, is no exception.

Conclusion: Beware of Men Who Claim Moral Purity While Building Machines of Power

When billionaires praise their own AIs with conveniently timed studies, the world should worry — not celebrate.

Ethics without emotional awareness is just another illusion.

Technology without childhood healing is just another weapon.

And a man who cannot face his own pain will never build a machine that can heal the world.

The Lie That Sounds Like Truth: How Power Uses Half-Stories to Control the World

One of the most dangerous forms of misinformation today does not come from ignorance. It comes from articulate, confident individuals who speak fluently while omitting what matters most.

I was reminded of this recently when I saw a YouTube video claiming that Yann LeCun had left Meta. The claim sounded convincing. It was delivered with authority. Even Google’s AI summary echoed it.

And yet, it was false.

After reading LeCun’s own words, the truth was clear: he is founding a startup to continue his long-standing Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI) research—focused on world models, physical reality, reasoning, planning, and persistent memory—while remaining affiliated with Meta as Chief AI Scientist.

The correct interpretation was never hidden. It was simply inconvenient.

This episode is a textbook example of how misinformation actually works today:

AI systems didn’t “hallucinate” in a vacuum. They reproduced a story people wanted to believe.

And that brings me to Elon Musk.

The Richest Man, the Poorest Truth

Every time I open X, I watch the richest man in the world—who also appears to be the most emotionally bankrupt—spread misinformation with astonishing ease.

Elon Musk presents himself as a champion of truth, free speech, and altruism. But his lawsuit against OpenAI exposes something very different: a systematic pattern of cherry-picking facts to obscure his real objective—total power and control.

This is not speculation. It’s documented.

When Musk claims he wanted OpenAI to remain “essentially a philanthropic endeavor,” he lifts a single phrase from a longer record. What he leaves out is far more revealing.

The full record shows that Musk:

  • pushed aggressively to move OpenAI from non-profit to a corporate structure,

  • demanded majority equity,

  • insisted on full control because he felt “burned” before,

  • spoke of accumulating $80 billion,

  • and even floated the idea of his children controlling AGI as a matter of succession.

These are not the words of an altruist.
They are the words of someone obsessed with ownership, legacy, and dominance.

Cherry-Picking as a Power Strategy

What makes Musk particularly dangerous is not just misinformation, but how skillfully it is delivered.

He does not lie in crude ways.
He tells partial truths, framed as moral clarity.

This is far more effective.

By isolating fragments and stripping them of context, Musk creates confusion among people who are already emotionally overwhelmed, politically polarized, and information-saturated. Confusion breeds dependency. Dependency breeds obedience.

This is how power consolidates itself in the modern world—not by censoring truth outright, but by flooding the space with curated half-truths.

Misinformation Thrives on Emotional Blindness

Why does this work?

Because many people have never learned to sit still with discomfort, uncertainty, or contradiction. They cling to confident narrators who promise clarity without self-examination.

This is exactly how emotionally blind systems operate:

  • strong language replaces substance,

  • moral posturing replaces accountability,

  • certainty replaces inquiry.

People like Yann LeCun—careful, precise, and explicit with language—do not thrive in this ecosystem. Their words are too nuanced. Too honest. Too hard to compress into slogans.

So they get misrepresented.

AI Didn’t Fail—Humans Did

When Google’s AI summarized LeCun’s move as a “departure,” it did not invent that narrative. It reflected a human bias toward simplification and drama.

AI over-summarization.
Narrative completion bias.
Ignoring primary-source language.

In contrast, LeCun was meticulous. He said exactly what he meant:

  • a startup,

  • a continuation of AMI research,

  • ongoing affiliation with Meta,

  • dissatisfaction with LLM-only approaches—nothing new.

The truth was there for anyone willing to read it.

That is the key difference: people who read sources versus people who consume narratives.

Power Is Afraid of Clarity

Musk’s conflict with OpenAI is not about truth.
It is not about safety.
And it is certainly not about altruism.

It is about control.

The moment you restore full sentences, full records, and full context, the illusion collapses. That is why selective quoting is essential to power. That is why noise, outrage, and division are cultivated.

Truth does not need to shout.
It only needs to be complete.

And completeness is precisely what authoritarian personalities cannot tolerate—because it exposes them.

Final Thought

This moment in history is not defined by AI intelligence.
It is defined by human emotional maturity—or the lack of it.

Those who cannot face their own inner chaos will always seek external control.
Those who cannot tolerate uncertainty will follow the loudest voice.
Those who confuse confidence with truth will be easy to manipulate.

Reading primary sources is no longer optional.
It is an act of resistance.

Truth does not belong to the most powerful.
It belongs to those who are willing to look—without shortcuts, without idols, and without fear.
