The Emotional Blindness Behind ChatGPT Agent

The Emotional Blindness Behind ChatGPT Agent
By Sylvie Shene

Today, I read Sam Altman’s public announcement about OpenAI’s newest product: ChatGPT Agent — a tool that can “think, act, think some more, and take actions” on your behalf. He warns that it's experimental. He cautions against using it for high-stakes tasks. And he admits they “don’t know exactly what the impacts are going to be.”

But beneath all the polished language, I saw something else.

A machine built to serve a society that refuses to confront itself.

These tech moguls aren’t just blind. They are emotionally repressed children who were never loved for who they truly were — and now, with unimaginable power in their hands, they are scripting humanity’s downfall.

And they know it.

Altman, Musk, and others like them aren’t building AI to uplift us. They’re building it to replace us — or at the very least, to distract, addict, and confuse us long enough to make their escape. Naomi Klein recently warned that we are facing a new form of fascism, one born in Silicon Valley. She said these men are building bunkers, preparing for “the big event” — whatever that is — while feeding us fantasies of progress.

But I believe the “big event” is their own unconscious compulsion to destroy, rooted in the unresolved wounds of childhood. They are projecting their internal collapse onto the world stage.

As I wrote in A Dance to Freedom:

“Repressing our fears and our anger always results in a backlash. We never know when it’s going to come, or how it will manifest itself, but it’ll definitely show up to fuck with us.”

And now, it’s showing up in the form of artificial intelligence.

Even a recent podcast asked bluntly:
“Will Sam Altman and His AI Kill Us All?”
What a question to even have to ask — and yet, it’s valid. Because what these men are building is not rooted in love, or healing, or integration. It’s built on fear. And fear, especially repressed fear, always finds a way to destroy.

I’ve come to believe that the greatest threat to humanity isn’t AI.
It’s the emotionally blind humans programming it.

They are professional criminals of the soul — leaving no fingerprints, always recruiting others (and now machines) to do their dirty work. Cowards hiding behind code. Behind corporate speak. Behind “terms of service.”

But they won’t survive either. Because you can’t build a bunker deep enough to hide from your own inner child screaming for justice.

“When a mind is truly free, it can never be captured again.”
And that’s why they fear us.
